Dear cute black skirt,
Where are you? I haven’t seen you since August, was it something I said? I thought we were tight. I wore you all the time, and always said how versatile you were. I even wore you outside of work, that’s commitment!
Why did you leave? Is it because I tried to pair you with brown shoes? I’m sorry about that, I was in a hurry and just grabbed the first shoes I could find. I swear it will never happen again; I don’t even have those shoes any more!
Is it because I said you were getting a little big? Look, it’s not you, it’s me! I’ve been walking a lot and things just aren’t fitting the same any more, but I can change, I promise. I’ll go back for seconds; we can work it out!
Look, did someone take you? Are you being held captive in some synthetic and tacky closet? If you are, I can help, I just need you to give me a sign. If someone is holding you against your will, I need you to do one thing for me. The thing you do best: lie in a heap on the floor and come out looking fresh and wrinkle-free. Hmm, still nothing, eh?
Where ever you are please come back to me. I’ve switched to dresses since you’ve been gone and all my tops are starting to resent me. I need you back. You’re the glue that holds this wardrobe together!
Uncoordinated without you,
Katherine xo
UPDATE: I found it! It was smooshed in the bottom of my backpack and wouldn’t be found until I was packing to move back to Canada, in April of 2011.

You MUST have left it in Wales or something…. or wait you wore it to Dan’s Bday. I swear I don’t have it. I even looked again. This is SO STRANGE. I can’t think of anything else we did.
Where did you get changed for the bar that night!? You were super drunk before you got changed and you went from the LBS to the LBD (lovely blue dress). Is this where it got away?
I’m going to need you to follow up with these leads and get back to me
lol, I just don’t know! It was definitely sometime between the house party and going out that night. We got ready in my room but it’s not there! 😦
GASP. i am imagining sabatoge after the “candle” incident.
