Goodbye Summer

Labour Day has come and gone and for the first 24 years of my life that meant one thing: summer is over. Now that I am an adult with a job all year round and don’t live my life in anticipation of those 2-4 months of free time, the end of August doesn’t necessarily also mean the end of summer. September is bound to bring some warm days, and I will savour them! But I am also ready to embrace autumn, with it’s beautiful colours, light weight sweaters, seasonal foods (gourds!), baseball games that mean something, and sleeping with my duvet again.

So, tall plants and blooms of summer, make way for ornamental grasses, cornucopia centre pieces, and pumpkin-themed everything. EVERYTHING.

BUT FIRST: a couple more weeks of patio weather, please.
