Today is December 8, the anniversary of John Lennon’s death. This year it also happens to be World Choral Day (and I’m in a choir, so you can see how that would appeal to me).
Adding to my list of super fun times, we sang and recorded a choral version of John Lennon’s Happy X-Mas (War is Over) at the request of The Beatles Story Museum in Liverpool! Now, I’ve been to this museum and it’s awesome. I can confirm that it is THE BEST Beatles museum in Liverpool, and I would imagine (ooh!) that Liverpool would have the best Beatles museums in all of the world, so from that, we can draw the logical conclusion that The Beatles Story is the best Beatles museum EVER IN THE WORLD! As a life long Beatles fan (thanks mum!), I am pretty beyond stoked to be part of this video.
The museum posted our video on their website as part of the tribute to John Lennon. They are hosting a peace vigil tonight, starting in their replica of the “White Room” where the Imagine video was filmed; followed by a candlelit walk to the European Peace Monument, which was unveiled in 2010 to celebrate the 70th birthday of John. [Actually, at the time of writing this, because of time zones, the event is already over—but that doesn’t mean it’s any less awesome, right?!]

Check out our choralization of this classic Christmas tune. And be sure to check out The Beatles Story Museum if you’re ever in Liverpool. It’s so amazingly detailed that no Beatles fan could be disappointed.
