I want to blog!
I want to write more!
I want to share stories and pictures!
Something always stops me.
I have this self-imposed “rule” that I don’t like to post things non-chronologically. (I have only really broken this rule to post my Paris journals, because it took me a while to get around to typing them out.) So, if I did something really awesome in June, like say, run a 5K (which is true, that is a real thing that I did), and I think I want to write about it but took my time getting around to it that a series of other cool things happen to me after the awesome thing in June—like got jury duty, found the last unicorn, was chosen to head a mission to Mars (none of these things happened…yet)—then I wouldn’t allow myself to write about them until I’d posted about the dang 5K from back in June. This thing that I’ve forced upon myself has stopped me from writing about, probably, some interesting stuff.
So, as such, I have decided to EFF IT! That’s right, I’m going rogue. I’m going to start writing without any sort of timeline. I hope that this will help to increase the frequency (and variety) of my blog posts because I do like to write, but inspiration and motivation have been scarce. But WHAT THE HEY! There’s nothing like bold, public declarations of commitment to force you to follow through. Those never backfire, right?
