For all the things that are great about Halloween—the candy, the costumes, the decorations—there a few things that I hate. Besides the pressure to come up with a really great costume, I absolutely hate Halloween puns. Normally I am a fan of punny word play, but there is one Halloween word that is so overused I can’t stand the sight or sound of it any more. That word is:

Spooktacular

With all the writers in all the world, can’t we come up with any better Halloweeny adjectives? I’ll start us off:

Fangtastic
Horrorific
Faboolous
Terrorfying

There. There’re four options. Let’s retire spooktacular for a few years until it’s clever again. Whadya say?
