Walking the Walls

Day 20! So, there are a few things left in York that I haven’t done that I want to do and walking the walls is one of the them! The city of York is entirely surr0unded by an ancient Roman wall (with some medieval components as much of the Roman elements have changed over the years) only stopping at the Foss and Ouse rivers (and once where some guys tore it down to build a road). The walk around the walls is approximately 2 miles (if you don’t get lost when you are detoured off the wall). This is what it looks like:

I think of my favourite parts was seeing all the rooftops of York. I love chimneys.
