It was one year ago today that I posted a picture of my first wire sculpture, an owl. I still really enjoy making different pieces, although, now with two jobs (instead of zero like when I started) I don’t have as much time to make things. But here, is a picture of a Christmas present I made for my boss.

I got a little creative with this one and included some pretty glass beads!

Also, for Christmas, I made my mum a pair of treble clef earrings. I used a different kind of wire than I’m used to and it was actually incredibly difficult. But after a few close calls with flying bits of wire, they turned out all right, if slightly bigger than I envisioned.
I hope to set aside some time to do more sculptures in the next few weeks.

I want to mention one more time that I love these creations 🙂
Thanks Ronnie! I think I owe you guys a house warming present, fancy something handmade?
I love this creation more, it has pride of place on my mantelpiece! Love Kat’s boss xx
Love the additional elements – the beads are a wonderful addition. Planning to incorporate any “found” objects in future projects?
Saw these works at the ROM, and marvelled at the use of unusual materials and forms: I think you would like them –
