Our fearful trip is done!
January 22nd, 2010, was a sad day for television. It marked the first time in 16 years that Conan O’Brien would not be gracing the screens of late night television. Sadder still was that I was in England and unable to watch him on TV for his final weeks. By some miracle the NBC website actually allowed international access to video clips from his show. I counted myself very lucky to be able to watch these, considering half the content on the NBC site isn’t even available to Canada.
Long story, short, I recently started following Conan on Twitter. Since February 24th, he has been sending out one Tweet everyday in lieu of hosting a late night show. This man is hilarious and if I can’t watch him be hilarious for an hour every night, I will gladly take 140 characters of funny.
The bottom line is I miss Conan, and if NBC won’t put it him on TV the least I can do is make his image in garden wire and put it behind a wire-made television. Well, technically, the least I can do is nothing, but where’s the fun in that?
Look, Conan’s on TV again!
