Today is several things.
Today is daylight savings time and I forgot to change my clock. And it’s not the good kind of forgetting like in the spring when you have an iron clad excuse for being an hour late for work or school. It’s the kind of forgetting that makes you an hour early for work! (Or in my case, 2 hours early. I wrote down my schedule wrong, so when I thought I worked at 10 I actually worked at 11 and when I thought the clock said 10 it actually said 9, putting me at work way too friggen early.) So, I get to work at 9AM for my 11AM shift and face the question, do I go home for 2 hours (or 1h30 with travel time) or do I stay here and work early? I stayed and split the difference, starting at 10AM.
Today is also my one month anniversary in England! I have to work tomorrow so there will be no crazy party tonight or anything. Or maybe there will, who knows, it’s Europe.
Let’s look back at my one month’s accomplishments:
– I’ve lived here for 28 days and have only paid rent for 10.
– I’ve lived here for 28 days and have had a full time job for 27.
– Someone asked me how to get to a street that is not where I live or work and I knew how to get him there.
– I’ve memorized my 11-digit phone number despite England’s terrible lack of phone number rhythm, 5-3-3? That’s not catchy!
I can’t wait to see what I’ll have accomplished after 2 months!

Your life is so glamorous. Can’t wait to visit you! If Ed or I ever get the money together. Sigh.
